About the Event
The United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida—in conjunction with the South Florida, Broward, and Palm Beach Chapters of the Federal Bar Association—is delighted to invite you to its Sixth Biennial Bench and Bar Conference.
This conference offers attendees a unique opportunity to interact with the judges of the Southern District of Florida while earning CLE credits and networking with colleagues. The conference includes a day-long program of panel discussions on a variety of matters of interest to federal practitioners. The event will kick off with a Supreme Court Roundup featuring Miguel A. Estrada and Neal Katyal, and conclude with a thoughtful panel discussion marking the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Gideon v. Wainwright decision, featuring Yale Law Professor Akhil Reed Amar, the Honorable Kathleen M. Williams, and the Honorable Robert N. Scola, Jr., moderated by attorney David Howard. Lunch is included in the cost of registration and will include a keynote panel titled, “Human Trafficking and the Lawyer’s Role in Protecting the Most Vulnerable Members of Our Community.”
Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided, and the day will conclude with a cocktail networking reception.
