FBA SOUTH FLORIDA CHAPTER
COMMITTEE STRUCTURE

The Federal Bar Association South Florida Chapter has revised its committee structure for 2024–2025. This streamlined approach consolidates related committees and reflects our commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and responsive programming. The following committees now govern the Chapter’s operations and initiatives.
Standing Committees
Law Students, Clerks, and Newly Admitted Lawyers
Formerly: Law Student Committee and Law Clerks & Young Lawyers Division
This committee serves as a bridge to the next generation of federal practitioners. It engages law students and recent graduates through events, mentorship, and collaboration with law school FBA chapters.

Newsletter and Publications
Formerly: Publications, Newsletter, and Appellate Committees
This committee curates and produces the Chapter’s newsletter and written publications. It highlights recent events, legal commentary, and judicial profiles, with an eye toward engaging members through both print and digital platforms.

Social Media and IT
Formerly: IT & Social Media Committee
This committee maintains the Chapter’s digital presence, including website updates, email outreach, and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. It ensures timely promotion of events and initiatives.

Events
Formerly: CLE, Installation & Judicial Reception, and Board Room Luncheon Committees
This committee plans and executes the Chapter’s signature events, including CLE programs, the annual installation gala, judicial receptions, and boardroom luncheons. It works closely with the judiciary and legal community to foster meaningful engagement.

Membership

Awards and Grants

American Heritage
Formerly: Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Initiative
This committee supports full and equal participation in the legal profession, regardless of background. It hosts programming to elevate diverse voices and promote gender equity, while striving to ensure inclusivity in all Chapter activities.

Civics

Cooke Scholarship Committee
