About the Event
With federal jury trials postponed indefinitely throughout the country, parties are increasingly turning to virtual extra-judicial resolution mechanisms to resolve their cases. Please join the South Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association on March 3, 2020 to discuss, and answer your questions, about mediation, conciliations, and settlement conferences via video-conference and telephone.Â
The event will feature The Honorable John O’Sullivan (Chief Magistrate Judge of the Southern District of Florida), Robert Weisberg (Regional Attorney at EEOC), Beth Greenfield-Mandler (Mediator with the Kinnard Mediation Center), Karen Evans (Private Mediator and Arbitrator), and Valerie Kiffin Lewis (Private Mediator and Arbitrator) and will discuss best practices, how to be most effective when not in-person, advantages and disadvantages of virtual backgrounds, the pros and cons of multiple parties sharing a screen, speaker, and location, efficient document execution during video-conference, and much more.
